Members receive a personalized membership certificate and are authorized to display an NAIS member logo on marketing
materials such as business cards and web sites. New members must pass the NAIS online exam or equivalent prior
to using the NAIS logo. There is no charge for members to take or re-take the NAIS online exam.
NAIS Member Website
The National Association of Infrared Surveyors (NAIS) also offers a free custom web site for its members. The Members
Section of the NAIS site contains a web site creator that will allow you to quickly and automatically list your
business on the NAIS web server so that your clents who visit NAIS and confirm that you are a member.
Continuing Education Hours
The National Association of Infrared Surveyors (NAIS), provides free online continuing education courses for membership
renewal purposes, or you can take other courses. NAIS accepts a wide range of educational topics for renewal credits.
All members have access to the NAIS Online Exam that covers best practices for thermal surveys. This exam is required
for new members who have not already passed a qualifying exam from an accredited education provider.
The National Association of Infrared Surveyors (NAIS) offers a free thermographer locator service for its members.
Whenever a potential client visits the NAIS website and searches for a professional within your service radius
(e.g. 25-100 miles), your information will appear so that the client can contact you.
Advertising and Marketing
Clients and realtors can be directed to the NAIS site or can contact us to verify your credentials. Furthermore,
you are authorized to reproduce copies of the NAIS Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics to give to your clients
or add to your infrared survey reports.
